As organisations grapple with remote work, generational shifts, and heightened expectations for workplace equity, the need for a clear understanding of organisational culture has never been more critical. Yet many companies still rely on intuition rather than evidence when it comes to cultural initiatives. At People and Culture, we believe that effective cultural transformation starts with comprehensive, actionable data.

In our webinar, our CEO and Founder, David Liddle, discussed the importance of collecting and using data efficiently when it comes to understanding the reality of our workplace cultures and designing changes that will best suit the needs and strengths of those in the organisation.

The business case

  1. It ensures that your culture is built on a foundation of evidence and data
  2. It creates a sense of ownership across your organisation
  3. It clarifies roles, responsibilities and resources
  4. It provides baseline indicators for evaluating the impact of the transformational culture
  5. Engaging key stakeholders gives them a voice and it builds a sense of collaboration and connection
  6. It integrates into your wider strategic narrative

Looking at the theory and models

The webinar discussed aspects such as the Transformation Triangle, looking at how people and culture, transformational leadership and transformational justice intersect, and how a wider Transformational Culture model feeds into the 7Cs of courage, connection, communication, collaboration, common purpose, curiosity and compassion. These seven dimensions are felt through the experience of the workforce, to create the climate, and are then reinvested back into the organisation, to become the culture.

We also deep dived into the Culture Flow System, analysing the convergent and divergent factors and steps that take ‘purpose’ to a positive ‘outcome’. Moreover, the 5D Methodology, with specific details on the BBC’s transformational journey and Watershed and Brendon Trust’s Culture Audit process maps.
