Suzanne is a qualified workplace Mediator with over 15 years’ mediation experience who brings a very practical , people centred approach to mediation based on her experiences mediating in a range of sectors – most recently in national charities, the public and private sector, higher education and the community. Many mediations are now multiparty.
Mediation for Suzanne is an important process to allow individuals to communicate with each other openly and honestly, with respect and dignity, to reach a mutually acceptable resolution whilst maintaining self-esteem. Suzanne really values the opportunity to create a safe space for parties to have difficult conversations to achieve a meaningful resolution whether it is face to face or via on-line meetings.
Suzanne has delivered the One Day Core Mediation Skills programme for TCM as well as acted as an Assessor on the ONC National Certificate in Workplace Mediation course.
With a background as a Human Resources Director, Coach and Consultant working in global and SME’s – Suzanne brings her knowledge to Investigation work and has delivered workplace investigations and run appeal processes in the public sector and higher education. Cases have involved multiple claimants.
Suzanne also has significant experience in the housing sector having been a Board member of a local housing association for 5 years and recently appointed as the Senior Independent Director (SID). In addition, Suzanne is a Trustee for a local charity.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development [FCIPD], a CMC Registered Mediator and a Member of the Institute of Interim Managers.
Suzanne has been a TCM Transformation Consultant since 2013 and is a Community Mediator in North Devon, where she has lived for the past 13 years.
When not in work, Suzanne can be found tending to her apple orchard from which she plans to produce cider, cycling both locally and abroad, plus walking completing at least a couple of sponsored walks per year raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society and North Devon Hospice.
