Originally from Germany, Thoralf lived and worked 16 years in London before moving to the Lake District in 2019. His background is luxury hotel management, including positions as Hotel Manager where he managed 110 employees in a top 50 TripAdvisor establishment in central London. During his time in hotels, he influenced organisational change in terms of culture, elevation of service levels and strategic planning for long term initiatives; thus allowing the organisation to excel in a very competitive marketplace by placing people at the centre. During his time in London, Thoralf carried out multiple workplace assessments of competitors to identify areas of high and low performance and implement strategies in his own workplace to accelerate organisational learning and development.
Since undertaking Consultancy work with the TCM Group, Thoralf’s clients have included national charities, NHS Trusts, NHSBT, national retailers and charities. His work spans across training, Neutral Evaluations, Team Facilitation, transformational change, our signature resolution framework and investigation services. His warmth and ability to make customers and stakeholders feel at ease allows him to build rapport quickly and provide a safe space for parties to open up and engage in sensitive dialogue.
Thoralf is an accredited Workplace Investigator, a OCN accredited Mediator and has a CIPD Diploma in Human Resources and Management.
In his spare time, he enjoys kayaking and paddle boarding in the beautiful Lake District, building furniture and being a climbing frame to his 4-year-old daughter.
