Julie started her career as a Learning Disabilities Nurse, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism to live independent and rich lives. Working in this sector gave Julie an appetite for working with people on their own personal development and her career side stepped into Learning and Development. She has had many years of experience with Workforce development, content design and delivery including Leadership Development.
As the Head of Learning and Development within the Charity sector Julie developed her skills in coaching and mediation. She implemented and managed an internal workplace mediation scheme, facilitating individual and team meditations for the past 10 years.
She is passionate about supporting people to resolve their differences and conflict and finds the whole process rewarding and empowering and she feels privileged to be part of those “light bulb” moments of understanding between parties.
As a qualified coach, Julie works with colleagues from all different levels, coordinates coaching referrals and delivers coaching for managers training.
In all her interactions Julie uses the tools from mediation, coaching & Learning to bring a blend of approaches to the situation and she is not afraid to change direction to suit the needs of the person or group.
Julie cherishes time with family and friends and is the Chair of a local Drama group and loves to “tread the boards” herself.
She likes to get outdoors as much as possible and can be found dipping into a cold sea lake throughout the year (for fun!)
