TCM’s mediators are full members of the Professional Mediators’ Association (PMA). The PMA is the standard bearer for professional mediation standards across the UK and is recognised by CIPD and UK Government.
TCM also subscribes to the EU’s Code of Practice for Mediators and we are registered with the Civil Mediation Council.

For many years, TCM has been advocating an increased role or mediation as an alternative to time consuming and stressful grievance procedures and Employment Tribunals. We are delighted that mediation will now be taking a more prominent role in UK workplaces. The new system will emphasise the importance of early dispute resolution, for example through workplace mediation. Employers will be encouraged to offer informal dispute resolution mechanisms either through the provision of external or internal mediation.
The proposed benefits of the revised system will be that they are simpler and less prescriptive and that they offer greater flexibility to informally resolve conflicts at work. Our hope is that this will result in cost and time savings and that it will also reduce the stress of going through an Employment Tribunal.
