Adrian is an accredited mediator, mediation supervisor and a trained conflict resolution coach. He’s worked for over 38 years as a people and operational manager in the Civil Service and he’s a skilled HR practitioner, frequently called upon for advice in dealing with and resolving complicated and challenging HR issues. He’s used these skills to bring a person-centric approach to resolving conflict and is a firm believer in the power of the mediation process and its effectiveness in driving mutually agreed solutions to conflict both in and out of the workplace.
He has extensive experience and success as a mediator both as part of the Home Office and the wider Cross Government Mediation Services. As a mediation supervisor he has been involved in coaching newly qualified mediators and co-mediating through their early practice. He also worked with the Home Office and other departments to promote wider knowledge and uptake of mediation. In his role with the HO Conflict Resolution Service coach, he worked with colleagues at all levels to improve confidence in opening and managing potentially difficult conversations.
Most recently alongside his mediation work, Adrian set up and developed a specialist investigation team dealing with in-house discipline and grievance investigations. Adrian worked with all stakeholders including commissioning managers to deliver timely investigations of the highest possible quality.
