When people hear “coaching,” they often think it’s just a nice extra — something to offer employees when there’s time and budget. Or, worse, that it’s only for underperformers. But our recent Coaching Eye-Opener Webinar explored why coaching really is a game-changer that all employees should be involved in. The right approach to coaching can foster resilience, innovation, and stronger leadership skills, especially when rooted in our proven models.

The 7Cs of Coaching Excellence

Successful coaching stands on the foundation of 7Cs: Courage, Connection, Collaboration, Common Purpose, Communication, Compassion, and Curiosity. These guide every coaching session, ensuring it’s meaningful, engaging, and rooted in growth. Think: which of these speaks to you the most, right now, as a strength or area you’d like to enrichen?

Our Future-focused Models

At the heart of our coaching strategy is the GROW model, which focuses on setting clear Goals as the starting point. From there, we assess the current Reality, explore potential Options, and establish a clear Way forward. This simple, structured approach ensures that coaching sessions are productive and outcome-driven, helping individuals and teams achieve specific objectives. Paired with our FAIR model™ — built on the crucial pillars of Facilitation, Appreciation, Innovation, and Resolution — it offers an effective, holistic approach. FAIR ensures that sessions are open, reflective, and impactful, guiding individuals through personal or professional challenges with confidence.

A Deep-dive into Conflict Coaching

During the webinar we looked at our key types of coaching, including 1:1 coaching and the nuances between team coaching and group coaching. One standout from the webinar was our focus on conflict coaching. We’ve seen first-hand how pairing conflict coaching with mediation is a powerful combination, allowing individuals to approach disputes constructively. Rather than avoid conflict, they learn to navigate it effectively — transforming potentially disruptive moments into opportunities for growth.

Why Coaching is Essential for Businesses

In today’s fast-paced environment, coaching isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. Whether you’re developing leaders or navigating workplace conflict, investing in coaching strengthens teams, sharpens decision-making, boosts employee retention and cultivates a positive culture. The stats don’t lie; a study by the International Coach Federation revealed that 86% of companies reported recouping their investment in coaching, and over 20% saw an ROI of 50 times their investment.

Beyond business impact, noted personal benefits of coaching include:

  • Enhanced self-awareness
  • Improved emotional regulation
  • Better communication skills
  • Increased readiness to collaborate
  • Clarified goals and expectations
  • Strengthened ability to problem-solve

An investment in coaching is a recognition of the need to invest in people, not because they need fixing or changing, but because they have so much potential to unlock.
