Darren Taylor, Employment Relations Officer at Labour Relations Agency – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"I found the National Certificate in Workplace Mediation training extremely useful and got so much from it. I actually enjoyed role-playing – which I thought I wouldn’t. I have definitely come away with new knowledge and skills which I believe will benefit both myself and those I work with. I will be involved in mediations; also, other elements of this training will be used in my day to day work.
Jo Hompstead, HRBP at John Lewis Partnership – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"A brilliant, informative course providing all the information you need to understand the benefits of mediation and the skills needed. Approachable and friendly team. High energy and engaging/interesting. A great mix of theory and practical learning in a fun and supporting environment!"
Camilla Palmer, Joint CEO at Your Employment Settlement Service – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"An excellent mediation course that is focused on mending relationships which are in trouble – skills taught could also be useful to managers managing teams where relationships are difficult. I will apply what I have learnt at work in resolving conflict/disputes between employers and employees in external mediations though I am not sure if this is sufficient for commercial mediations."
Helen Nicholson, Head of OD at United Lincolnshire Hospitals – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"This is an absolutely inspirational course, one of the best I’ve ever attended! The trainers are hugely knowledgeable and so supportive of our learning. I would definitely recommend."
Jennie Bumfrey, HR Manager at Oxford University – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The training was inspiring and informative. We had an excellent facilitator who had great knowledge of the subject being taught. I found the relevance and application of exercises, role play and case studies extremely valuable and beneficial. I will apply what I have learnt by practicing as much as I possibly can. Overall, the course was just right!"
Alexandra Matutino, Practice Development Lead at Dorset HealthCare University Foundation Trust – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The training fully met my objectives. Fantastic teaching/facilitation from the trainer that certainly raised my skill level. Very supportive environment to try out a brand-new experience. It was the best course I’ve been on for a very long time. I particularly enjoyed the pace and the layout which consisted of theory and then practice and especially loved the group! I’m hoping to join our small team of mediators within my organisation in the very near future to put my skills into practice."
Joan Burrows, HR Manager at University of Greenwich – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The course was well structured and broken down in great detail. There were lots of examples, lots of written support materials and many opportunities to practice, check and understand. My work will include mediation work going forward in order to reduce the high number of grievances we have. Such a powerful tool, when trained in such an informal but detailed environment. Excited but ready for the new challenge!"
Katherine Kasujja, HR Manager at University of Greenwich – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The hands on practical training sessions were very good! The trainer used many tools in which to pass on their knowledge, which I found very useful and helpful. The role plays were good – I felt we were able to put our skills into practice and share learning experiences. I will apply this learning by seeking and getting involved in mediation cases.
Adrian Madden, Senior Lecturer at University of Greenwich – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"Even if you never got to become involved as a mediator, the reflective learning and challenging nature of this course is a great opportunity for personal development and self-evaluation. However, it is also a firm basis on which to develop your mediation skills too! I particularly liked the interweaving of formal learning (frameworks) with active learning. I will expect to be involved in mediation work and use background ideas to inform teaching."
Ola Soyinka, Senior Housing Advisor at Tower Hamlets Homes – Practical Investigation Skills
"The Practical Investigation Skills course was very informative and engaging. I particularly liked learning how to conduct an investigation in a thorough and fair manner. As well as summarising and moving on when an interviewee wonders off. Bola is a very good facilitator with great presentation skills. He delivered the course with confidence and had very good rapport with the delegates. TCM is lucky to have him on board! I will apply what I have learnt at my place of work within any voluntary role and within day to day life."
