Hannah Goodacre, Employee Relations Specialist at Morgan Stanley – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The Workplace Mediation course surpassed my expectations. I would highly recommend this course. The trainer was excellent – he is clearly a very talented mediator and he shared his valuable experience and knowledge and created confidence in us as mediators. The role plays were the most useful as they highlighted how challenging mediation is and provided a safe environment for us to practice what we had learnt. I hope to be able to use the skills and strategies learnt in practice at work by offering mediation ahead of matters escalating to formal grievances."
Sarah Puleston, People Business Partner at Pret A Manger – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"TCM and its Mediation and Resolution Framework is the future of the workplace. We must normalise mature and adult behaviours in the workplace, to build successful and meaningful cultures for the workforce of the future. The employer / employee relationship is no longer built on the foundation of a Contract of Employment – it is a mutual contract between two parties, both of whom have expectations, needs, wants and values. The outlook of TCM and their practices are inspirational to me as a HR Professional. I think given my role as a HR Business Partner almost all of the skills and strategies end themselves to my day job – how I help to manage emotions and identify the needs and impacts in complex Employee Relation cases, I also think there is a clear skill in influencing and reframing the thoughts and feelings of others in a more positive light which will be great for my senior stakeholders. "
Alison Osborne Frank, HR Officer at World Health Organisation (WHO) – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"Fantastic mediation course with Stephen Adams of TCM, really engaging, concrete tools and approach."
Amanda Orchard, Amanda Orchard Events – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"I honestly cannot recommend this course enough – it’s an absolute must not only for those looking to go into the world of mediation but for anyone who is looking to strengthen their knowledge on building good relationships and handling difficult situations. I honestly don’t think anything else could have been done to improve the course – the trainer Stephen was fantastic as was Harriette who undertook our assessment. I’m hoping to strengthen the skills within work I already do in conflict management and to be able to do some mediating contract work too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and work colleagues."
Damien Krauth, IT Officer and Head of Transition Management Sector at eu-LISA – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The mediation training was very professional, providing very good quality in the teaching and very pleasant support from all people. I come out of it with a great satisfaction and with the feeling that I did a great step forward. I enjoyed the role play as mediator but all other elements from the course were really useful too. The skills taught are useful not only for mediation but also in many other areas."
Alison Lindsay, HR Manager at Thames Hospice – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The course was fantastic! Our trainer was really engaging, and I enjoyed the final two assessment days the most, when everything was put into action. I felt that having input from the other mediators was really beneficial. I would have preferred to attend the course in person but Zoom worked better than I thought. I will use the skills learnt to act as a mediator within the workplace."
Donna, HR Officer at eu-LISA – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"I enjoyed the possibility to practice the new acquired skills in the breakout rooms. I have done other mediation or conflict resolutions trainings that were more "free style". I really enjoyed the framework you give to the mediation processes, which is something structured but at the same time flexible, which means that you can adapt it to any type of organization/company. I think the training exceeded my expectations. I am pleasantly surprised how well and interactive it is even over video conference. Of course I missed the interaction and networking with the other participants, but I think it is a good compromise to be able to do this course online."
Hannah West, People Project Lead at Solent NHS Trust – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"One of the best courses I have attended. I genuinely learnt many new skills and feel confident that I can mediate successfully. It would have been lovely to be together in person but was well adapted for the remote set up. I am hoping to use the skills I have learnt to develop an in-house mediation service."
Jenny Hannon, Employee Relations Advisor at Interserve – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The course was really well organised and well run. It was great to meet the other delegates and learn some new skills. The role plays were challenging but really enjoyable and enabled us to put what we had been taught into practice. I will be advising line managers on how to carry out mediation with their employees, and also carrying out mediation myself for the business. Overall it was a great week – thank you The TCM Group!"
Jonathan Goodger, Employee Relations Manager at Ipsen Biopharm – National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
"The National Certificate of Workplace Mediation was an excellent course delivered by a superb trainer and two excellent and supportive assessors. They all made the course, which does require a great deal of work and focus, extremely enjoyable, challenging but safe and most of all, left you feeling as though everyone who attended had the skills to become effective mediators. The role plays were the most useful. Not always easy but our trainer was great at creating the supportive environment to try new skills, make mistakes and focus on the key learning. The only thing that would have improved the course was doing it F2F and we all understand the reasons why that isn’t possible at the moment. I am hoping to introduce mediation as part of a wider move from Discipline and Grievance to Resolution across our organisation. I will use the skills I have learned to both be a mediator within that new framework in order to achieve better outcomes from conflict situations but also to better coach managers in having difficult conversations. I would highly recommend the event to anyone who wants to be mediator."
